Hello world, I’m Novice Sister Nacho Problem.
As a recent transplant to the Midwest, I thought surviving the humidity was the most important thing; however, becoming involved with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence was an item on my bucket list that I did not intend, but that ended up being something I needed.
Small town born and raised, I never truly understood what community was supposed to look like in the LGBTQIA world. My time with the City of Fountain Sisters has changed that for me and I am happy it is.
The level of involvement in the queer community was something I was not expecting and has sparked an internal motivation I didn’t know I had.
While there are several areas to grow, I favor destigmatizing sobriety within the queer community, as I am almost eight years sober myself. This is important for those that are also sober because, unfortunately, so much of our community does revolve around substance use and abuse at times.
I am eager to continue my journey with the City of Fountains Sisters and growing into the best Nun I can be.
